Fabiën Venrooy — GGD-gecertificeerd PMU Specialist
Eigenaresse / PMU-specialist

For those who don't know me yet: my name is Fabiën Venrooy, graduated and certified All-Round Brow Stylist (since 2021) and Permanent Make-up Specialist (since 2022). With a passion for natural beauty and minimalist aesthetics, I founded Brow Vision — a salon specializing in semi-permanent makeup that helps women save time and face the mirror with confidence every day. From my home studio in Leimuiden, ten minutes from Schiphol and easily reachable from the wider Hoofddorp, Aalsmeer and Alphen aan den Rijn region, I work by appointment with one client at a time — no waiting room, no time pressure, just quiet space for your story.
My specialty is the Nano Hairstroke technique, the most refined and advanced method in the industry. This technique makes it possible to create ultra-thin, natural-looking hairs that blend seamlessly into the face. Unlike a classic tattoo, Nano Hairstroke is implanted in the upper layers of the skin only; the pigment therefore fades gradually over two to three years, leaving you in control of how your eyebrows evolve with your face as you age. I believe eyebrows should be a subtle complement, not an overpowering feature — the best results are the ones where friends tell you that you look well-rested, without ever realising what you've had done.
I completed my Phi Brows Artist training at the internationally recognised Phi Academy — a specialised institute that sets the reference standard in the global PMU industry. The Phi Brows methodology combines mathematical golden-ratio mapping of the facial structure with the Nano Hairstroke technique, so every set of brows is dimensioned exactly to the proportions of the individual face. Alongside that certification I completed additional professional training in Powder/Ombré Brows and Combi Brows, because I believe an experienced PMU specialist needs to master all three techniques to make the right call for any skin type and face shape. Permanent makeup is not a one-size-fits-all treatment — what suits an oily skin often fails on a dry skin, and what reads as natural on a heart-shaped face can overwhelm an oval one. Only with a broad technical foundation can you advise honestly rather than deliver standard work.
An eyebrow treatment may seem small, but the consequences are far-reaching and visibly permanent. PMU stays in your skin for years — a wrong pigment shade, a line that's too thick or an arch that sits too high cannot easily be reversed. That's why I invest heavily in the preparation phase: pre-draws on the skin so you see the design before we start, colour tests to match the pigment exactly to your skin undertone, and always room for second thoughts or adjustments before the first needle goes in. My experience since 2021 as a Brow Stylist and since 2022 as a PMU specialist means I not only know how to pigment, but also when to say: this isn't what you want — let's adjust the design. I see that cautious, conservative approach not as a limitation but as the core of my craft: you trust your face to someone, and I take that responsibility seriously.
At Brow Vision, everything revolves around personal attention and precision. Every treatment is custom-made, tailored to your face shape, skin tone, and preferences. An intake lasts at least half an hour before we even start drawing — we discuss your expectations, your daily routine, how much native eyebrow hair you have, any previous treatments elsewhere, and what you definitely don't want. Only once I understand who you are and how you live do we begin designing.
Pre-care and aftercare together account for roughly a third of the final result — that's why every client receives an extensive preparation protocol at the intake: no alcohol 24 hours before the treatment, no retinol or fruit acids around the brows for a week, no sunbed or aggressive scrubs in the run-up. On treatment day itself we work in a calm session of two to three hours, with built-in buffers for pauses and adjustments between pigment passes. After the treatment I send you home with a personalised aftercare kit and clear instructions for the first ten days: no scratching, no makeup over the area, protection from direct sunlight, and no sauna or swimming pool until the scabs have come off on their own. The six-week touch-up appointment isn't optional but a standard part of every treatment — only then can we see how the pigment has anchored in your skin and finalise the design.
My clients are often women who care about their appearance and value convenience and quality. Busy professionals, mothers, or women who cherish their time — they choose Brow Vision because they want natural results that simplify their daily routine. PMU is more than convenience; it's a touch of luxury you give yourself. No more daily worries about pencils or symmetry — just wake up every morning with perfect eyebrows that suit you. I increasingly see clients with a specific motivation as well: a corrective treatment after a less-than-ideal previous PMU elsewhere, or a recovery process for eyebrows that have largely disappeared due to alopecia, chemotherapy or years of over-plucking.
At Brow Vision I work exclusively with sterile single-use materials: new Nano needles per client, sealed pigment cups, and disposable gloves that I change multiple times during the treatment. The pigments I use are EU-compliant and free of heavy metals — they meet the REACH legislation that has been mandatory in the Netherlands since 2022 for permanent makeup. The work surface is cleaned with a hospital-grade disinfectant before and after each client, and high-touch surfaces like the doorhandle, treatment chair and work lamp receive a separate sanitation pass between treatments. This discipline may sound obvious, but in the PMU industry compliance is not always equally strict. A GGD-compliant home studio demands the same hygienic standards as a clinical workplace — and I make no concessions there.
The GGD certification is mandatory in the Netherlands for anyone offering permanent makeup, but the process behind it is often underestimated. The inspection covers the salon layout, ventilation, water supply, waste management, record-keeping, and the full protocol around cross-contamination. My studio in Leimuiden is set up according to these guidelines — a dedicated treatment room, a hand-wash station with no-touch tap, separated storage for sterilised and used materials, and a structured client record that is updated at every treatment. This is not a marketing claim but an operational reality: the difference between a GGD-compliant studio and a 'it'll be fine' approach isn't visible in the work itself, but you feel it in the safety and consistency of the result over the years.
At Brow Vision, I exclusively use high-quality techniques and materials, and I work according to the hygiene guidelines of the GGD (Dutch Health Authority). It's that foundation — trained craftsmanship, conservative aesthetics, strict hygiene and genuine attention to the client in front of me — that turns each treatment into something more than just pigment in the skin.

Eyebrows define your face. I treat every face as if it were my own — with care and precision.
